I need a vacation from my workation.

Yes, workation. Work + vacation=workation. Eric and I flew into Punta Cana on Monday to photograph an amazing wedding. After the wedding on Tuesday we officially enjoyed the rest of our time laying poolside. I also learned the term, “banana hammock.” I found this picture I took which basically explains it all.

Happy Weekend to you all.

Antigua Wedding Photography | Natalee and Brian

Natalee and Brian got married on a perfect sunny day in Antigua. There wedding was one I have been waiting for, for some time. Natalee and I had worked together in the past on a very special gift for Brian. When it came to her wedding day it was like good friends and I enjoyed being around them and their family/friends.

Here is a list of vendors they used to make their destination wedding wonderful.

Resort: Sandals Antigua

Wedding Dress: Davids Bridal

Veil: Occansey Designs

Natalie and Jordon: Destination Wedding at Melia Caribe PT. 1

Natalie and Jordon picked the gorgeous Melia Caribe for their special day. This resort was remarkable and did such a great job.  You two were such a pleasure to work with from the moment I met you at dinner. Your friends and family were equally warm and embracing and of course, always a good laugh.

I started with some getting ready shots while Natalie was getting her hair done. The dress is one of my favorite detail shots to get.

Next being the flowers! The resort did an amazing job at these!

Just waiting for his soon to be wife :)

Oh I love when couples decide to see eachother before the ceremony. We had such a great amount of time to walk around and take pictures. Part 2 coming tomorrow :-)

Cindy and Bob: Bahama Portraits!

Alright, grab a drink and sit back. There are plenty of images to check out and see just how fabulous Cindy and Bob looked on their wedding day. I must say, these 2 have so much love for each other and that’s what I love photographing. They were so content and at peace being around each other. They also kept putting up with all the kissing so they rock in my book!

We took over someone’s patio to get these shot. My favorite part of this shot? The little bit of purple that I got in the frame.

Had we been rained out this is where the ceremony would have taken place. It’s still gorgeous so we got some images there anyways!

my absolute 2 favorite of the day.

Cindy and Bob: Ceremony in the Bahamas

Even rain cannot stop this beach wedding ceremony. Our entire stay in the Bahamas was pretty much dark clouds and rain randomly throughout the day. Leading up getting Cindy’s hair down the sun was out. At the salon I looked out and it was raining. I didn’t say anything, just let it pass and we’ll move on. The next rain drops: ceremony. We were on our way when it started to rain so we stopped in the theater to wait it out. Cindy knew she wanted to get married on the beach and not inside in some red wall room (though I loved it) So while we waited we took portraits and waited it out. Many attempts and we finally got it. During the ceremony the sun peeked through the clouds and we were dry the entire ceremony….until it started again. Rain is lucky on a wedding day though :-)

Cindy and Bob: Getting ready

I am still blogging over here! Got so much more to come! I told you I had a TON of images to share! :-) Now, onto some getting ready shots. Now, of course, brides definitely take more time than the men. We did spend almost our entire time with Cindy but of course, we sneaked some images of Bob in here.

Meanwhile, Bob getting ready. Men are so easy!

Next: Ceremony!

Cindy and Bob: Destination Wedding in Bahamas-Resort Images

I just loved all the lighting at the resort! This room had chandeliers on every space possible.
I was pretty amazed at the amount of naked statues everywhere! Of course, I had to capture them all.

Tomorrow- details of the wedding day! :-)

Jessica and Todd’s:Destination Wedding in the Bahamas

This past weekend I headed to the Bahamas for Jess and Todd’s wedding. It was a blast working with them and being with their friends and family! Everything was so organized and the wedding coordinator did a terrific job at setting up everything! See you soon Bahamas!

In the Bahamas

I am sorry.

I cannot believe how much I have neglected this blog! I do admit, I do mostly boudoir at the moment so I am always updating my other blog. I am however in the Bahamas and today is Jessica and Todd’s wedding! I am heading over to the salon in 3 hours and we’ll get our day started. I cannot wait. She has decided on pink and green as wedding colors and those are my favorite! So with a wedding then I’ll have plenty to share! This wedding starts my destination wedding season with 3 next month! That only means lots of good stuff for the blog!

In the meantime, my favorite thing: palm trees.
