I need a vacation from my workation.

Yes, workation. Work + vacation=workation. Eric and I flew into Punta Cana on Monday to photograph an amazing wedding. After the wedding on Tuesday we officially enjoyed the rest of our time laying poolside. I also learned the term, “banana hammock.” I found this picture I took which basically explains it all.

Happy Weekend to you all.

Ohio Portrait Photography | Jen and the Molly Stark Park

My fabulous friend Jen Williams was in town visiting and for the past 3 days we have been playing cameras and exploring nonstop. Before I took her to the airport today I figured this would be a good stop. I have never been but have recently been hearing of it. Beforehand I did a little research online to find out more about this place I’ve never heard of. There didn’t seem to be too much info but I think just looking at this gorgeous property tells a story. Mother nature has taken over the building but underneath the vines is a beautiful building with very amazing details. I think I’ll return in the winter, I’m sure it’s beautiful with a fresh snow.

And of course after our 2 hours of just photographing the building we snapped some images of each other. :-) ohioportraitphotosclevelandportraitsfallportraitscantonportraitsakronportraitphotographyohioportraits

isn’t she adorable?

i adore my niece Emberly and her messy hair and big blue eyes. Since Eric and I don’t live near her we don’t get to see her as much as I would like. The good thing I have cute pictures like this to hang around my house!

Bad moods are temporary

Everyone has bad days, it’s just something that happens. When I have bad days or times when I feel like I am not working hard enough(even if I am) I like to look at my images. Sunsets, palm trees, love and my couples always puts me in a good mood. I am about to send out Chenoa and Troy’s wedding disc and remembered this picture. When we took it I knew it was going to be a favorite and knew I would blog it….eventually. There wedding in Jamaica was just perfect and were surrounded by such an amazing family. Anyways, sorry for the mush fesh today, I’ve not been feeling good today so I knew looking at the wedding pictures would make me happy. :)

I vanished!

Last Wednesday my beloved 17 inch macbook pro decided to stop working on me. I had a minor panic attack since my job is pretty much based around a camera and computer. Eric and I ended up going to Best Buy that night and buying a 13 inch macbook until my 17 got fixed. Sadly, the 17 might not see much better days so we decided to return the 13 inch and pay the restocking fee and buy a 15 inch macbook pro. SO, here I am. I finally got it in the mail today even though we ordered overnight shipping on Friday, figures. Anyways, I am back to work now and really need to catch up!

oh and for the record, i really dislike the new keyboards on the mac(black) and the screen. Eric  ended up buying me old macbook pro that’s all silver, shiny and new :)

our house has bobby pins everywhere…

i also got some new business cards from london to check out the quality and how long it would take to get them. it was really fast and i love them. i am going to order the regular size business cards as well. the best part is I can put them on my keychain instead of digging through my wallet for them. Also, you get 100 and can upload up to 100 different images. pretty cool, right. for these i did an engagement session i did in NYC over the summer.
